Junk Removal Questions from Conroe Homeowners

Answers to common junk removal questions in Conroe, from minimum prices to Montgomery County dump fees. For anything not covered here, send a request with the form.

Conroe Junk Pros is a referral website, not a junk removal company. We send your request to one independent local junk removal company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.

Prices below are national ranges from published cost guides, checked in October 2026, not quotes. County and city rules come from their own pages. For the full detail, see the junk removal cost guide and the Montgomery County disposal guide.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum price for junk removal?

Many companies charge at least an eighth of a truck, even for one item, according to HireAHelper. National guides put that minimum at about $75 to $125 (This Old House and Fixr). The company we refer you to sets its own minimum, so ask.

How do junk removal companies price a job?

Most price by how much of the truck your junk fills: an eighth, a quarter, a half, three quarters or a full load. Some charge flat prices for single items like a mattress or fridge. Heavy debris, stairs, and items with special disposal fees such as tires and refrigerant appliances can add to the price. See the junk removal cost guide.

What's included in a $99 junk removal service?

Usually a minimum load, about an eighth of a truck, with loading and disposal. Ask whether that price covers your item, whether disposal fees are included, and what costs extra, such as mattresses, tires or stairs.

What's the cheapest way to get rid of junk in Conroe?

Free options first: Conroe's monthly bulk pickup through Frontier Waste Solutions, Habitat for Humanity's free pickup for usable large items, and giving things away. Next cheapest is hauling it yourself to the Montgomery County Precinct 3 facility in Spring, where a pickup load costs $30 for county residents. A junk removal company costs more but does the lifting and takes things the city won't.

What are the dump fees in Montgomery County, Texas?

At the Precinct 3 Residential Recycling Facility, 1122 Pruitt Road in Spring, a pickup truck load is $30, trailer loads are $50 to $200 depending on length, mattresses are $10 or $20, passenger tires $10 off the rim or $20 on, and the minimum fee is $10 (fee schedule effective Oct. 1, 2025). County residents only. Full list in the disposal guide.

When is the Montgomery County public drop-off open?

The Precinct 3 facility is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed 11:30 to 12:30 for lunch and on county holidays. Paint and household chemicals are taken only on Wednesdays and the third Saturday of each month. Call 281-367-7283 to confirm before you go.

How does bulk trash pickup work in Conroe?

Since October 1, 2025, Frontier Waste Solutions collects Conroe's trash. Bulk pickup is once a month and must be scheduled with Frontier at least two working days ahead (936-258-9035, email, website or app). It takes furniture and appliances, but not construction debris, concrete, roofing, lumber, TVs, computers or hazardous waste. Appliances with Freon need a technician's removal certificate taped on.

Who took over trash service in Conroe?

Frontier Waste Solutions replaced Waste Management as Conroe's residential trash and recycling provider on October 1, 2025, according to Community Impact. Waste Management collected through September 30, 2025.

What won't junk removal companies take?

Usually liquid paint, chemicals, fuels, pool chemicals, propane tanks and anything hazardous. Texas bans free liquids from landfills, and TCEQ requires tires to be split, quartered or shredded before landfill disposal, so many haulers charge per tire or decline them. Each company has its own list, so ask.

Can I get a refrigerator hauled away for free?

Conroe's bulk pickup takes appliances, but a fridge needs its Freon removed by a technician first, with a certificate taped to the front. A working fridge may qualify for Habitat for Humanity's free donation pickup. Otherwise, a hauler or the county facility ($10 to $50 per appliance) are the usual options.

How do I get rid of a hot tub?

Drain it, shut off the breaker, and hire a crew to cut it up or roll it out. Fixr puts the average removal cost at about $250 to $400. Doing it yourself means a trailer, power saws and a trip to the county facility. See hot tub removal.

Is a franchise junk removal company better than a local one?

Not automatically. Each company sets its own rates. Compare written prices, what's included, how they handle donations and recycling, and whether they carry liability insurance. Conroe Junk Pros sends your request to one independent local company.

Should I rent a dumpster or hire junk removal?

Junk removal suits a pile that already exists and a crew that does the loading. A container suits a long project where debris comes out over weeks. This site takes junk removal requests only, not container rentals. Conroe requires commercial solid waste haulers to hold a city commercial franchise.

Who pays Conroe Junk Pros?

You never pay us. We're a referral website: we send your request to one independent local junk removal company, and companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals. The company sets its own price. See how it works.
