Referral website, not the contractor. How it works
Junk removal in The Woodlands covers the same jobs as in Conroe: furniture, appliances, cleanouts and debris. To get a price, send a request with the form, and pick "The Woodlands" as your town.
Conroe Junk Pros is a referral website, not a junk removal company. We send your request to one independent local junk removal company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.
Pricing and scheduling come from that company. It will tell you whether it serves your village and what it charges.
What's different about junk removal in The Woodlands
It's a township, not a city. The Woodlands is a special-purpose district and census-designated place, run by The Woodlands Township's elected board. Voters turned down incorporation as a city in November 2021. That matters for trash: there's no city sanitation department. The Township contracts residential trash, recycling and yard waste collection with WM, so rules come from the Township and WM, not from Conroe.
It's big. The Woodlands had 114,436 people at the 2020 census. It sits about 28 miles north of Houston along Interstate 45. A lot of households means a lot of moves, remodels and downsizing.
It straddles two counties. The Woodlands is mostly in Montgomery County, with portions in Harris County. That decides which county drop-off you can use. More on that below.
HOAs and village rules. If your neighborhood has an HOA or village association, check its rules on what can sit at the curb and for how long before stacking furniture or debris out front, and ask the hauler to load from the garage or driveway if needed.
Township bulk pickup through WM
The Township's 2022 residential services guide, published with WM, describes the bulk program this way:
- A bulk item is an appliance, piece of furniture or other household item too large for the trash cart that can't be bagged.
- Schedule bulk pickup with WM at least two working days before your regular service day, at 800-800-5804 or [email protected].
- Trash, recycling and yard waste are collected once a week, with carts at the curb by 7 a.m.
WM's current page for The Woodlands lists items that don't belong in the trash cart: construction waste, auto parts, tires, household hazardous waste such as paint, oil and cleaners, and medical or electronic waste. Check the Township's Environmental Services page for current bulk rules before you set anything out.
Bulk pickup is the cheapest route for a sofa you can drag to the curb. A junk removal company fits better when the items are upstairs, heavy, mixed with remodel debris, or need to be gone before a closing date.
