Referral website, not the contractor. How it works
Junk removal in Montgomery covers furniture, appliances, cleanouts and debris, the same jobs as in Conroe. To get a price, send a request with the form, and pick "Montgomery" as your town.
Conroe Junk Pros is a referral website, not a junk removal company. We send your request to one independent local junk removal company. You never pay us; companies we refer you to may pay us for referrals.
Pricing and scheduling come from that company. Ask whether there's a trip charge for your address.
What's different about Montgomery
A small historic city with its own trash rules. Montgomery sits at the junction of State Highway 105 and FM 149, near the southwestern edge of the Sam Houston National Forest, 15 miles west of Conroe, according to the Texas State Historical Association. It traces its origins to Stephen F. Austin's second colony, and its Lake Creek Settlement was the earliest Anglo-American settlement in what's now Montgomery County. The city runs its own garbage service through Waste Management, with rules that differ from Conroe's.
City bulk day: the second Wednesday. The City of Montgomery's utilities page says weekly garbage and recycling pickup is on Wednesdays, and bulk pickup is the second Wednesday of every month.
Quarterly heavy-trash weekends. The city also holds heavy-trash weekends, which its utilities page lists as the first weekend of March, June, September and December. Waste Management sets out large dumpsters at 777 Clepper St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Residents inside city limits bring a utility bill showing garbage service and a Texas driver's license. It's first come, first served, and it ends when the dumpsters are full. Not allowed: tires, electronics, batteries, asbestos, harmful chemicals and flammable liquids. Check the city's page for the next dates.
Hazardous items picked up at your door. The city points residents to WM's At Your Door Special Collection service for hard-to-recycle and hazardous household items. Call 800-449-7587 to schedule.
Inside or outside city limits? A Montgomery mailing address doesn't always mean you're inside city limits. If you're outside, the city programs above may not apply. Check your trash bill to see who serves you.
When a hauler makes more sense
City programs are cheap but have limits: one bulk day a month, heavy-trash weekends only four times a year, and dumpsters that can fill before you arrive. A junk removal company is the better fit when:
- you're clearing a second home or rental between guests or before a sale
- the job is bigger than one bulk day, like a whole garage or an estate
- the items are heavy, upstairs, or down a long driveway
- you live outside city limits and don't qualify for city service
- you need it gone before the next heavy-trash weekend

Hauling it yourself
Any Montgomery County resident with proof of residency can use the Precinct 3 Residential Recycling Facility at 1122 Pruitt Road in Spring. Fees effective October 1, 2025, include $30 for a pickup truck load, $50 to $200 for trailer loads up to 4 feet high, and $10 to $50 per furniture piece or appliance. Paint and household chemicals are taken on Wednesdays and the third Saturday of the month, for $10 per 5 gallons. It's open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed 11:30 to 12:30 for lunch. From Montgomery it's a long drive, so it pays to bring a full load. The disposal guide has the full fee list.

Common questions
When is bulk trash pickup in the City of Montgomery?
The city's utilities page says bulk pickup is the second Wednesday of every month, with weekly garbage and recycling on Wednesdays. Waste Management is the city's solid waste provider.
What can I bring to a Montgomery heavy-trash weekend?
Large household items approved by Waste Management, dropped in dumpsters at 777 Clepper St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring a city utility bill showing garbage service and a Texas driver's license. No tires, electronics, batteries, asbestos, harmful chemicals or flammable liquids. It ends when the dumpsters are full.
I have a Montgomery address but live outside city limits. Do the city programs apply to me?
Probably not. The heavy-trash weekends are for residents within city limits with a city utility bill. Homes outside the city usually get trash service from a utility district, HOA or private hauler, so check your bill. The county Precinct 3 drop-off in Spring is open to any Montgomery County resident.
